Mediation is a way of resolving disputes without lengthy and costly court proceedings and is actually recommended by the legal system. It is an effective, objective means of resolving conflicts and disputes. It is also non-confrontational and therefore less stressful for the parties involved.

Allowing Unite’s appeal, Lord Judge said: “We must all hope for a speedy and fair resolution of this dispute.” He added: “It must be resolved by negotiation. Legal processes do not constitute mediation. They often inflame rather than mollify the feelings of those involved.”

A wide ranging review by the UK government in July 2010 to remove legal aid in many civil disputes will lead to an exponential rise in the demand for mediation services in diverse specialist areas.

Our contemporary approach to mediation and resolving conflict is specifically designed to meet the needs of all parties involved in the dispute. In ancient times, the community gathered under a tree to resolve conflict – life is not so simple now.

We don’t offer ‘one size fits all’ off-the-shelf solutions. Instead we believe in offering mediation, training and facilitation that is specifically tailored to the needs of:

  • Workplace mediation for employee v employee disputes
  • Employment mediation for employer v employee disputes
  • Final appeal processes for disciplinary hearings ensuring impartiality
  • Commercial mediation for both large and small organisations
  • Medical mediation between healthcare providers and patients & relatives
  • Public sector body mediation in their engagement with communities
  • Property sector for construction as well as landlord and tenant disputes
  • Shareholder and Partnership disputes
  • Family mediation for Trusts and Wills

In fact our mediation and training services cover all situations and sectors, plus we offer training, conflict prevention coaching, facilitation and formal investigation services too.
